FAQ
Common questions.
How do I get started?
Explore the program in the True Taxes Community, review the brochure and agreement, then use the application button to open the existing registration form in a new tab. Confirm payment and onboarding details with the team.
How much does the software cost?
The annual software/program fee for new partners is $1,250, with no monthly licensing fee. The two-year price guarantee means $1,250 for each of the first two annual terms, not one payment covering both years.
What are the payment options?
New partners may pay $1,250 in full or $625 now and $625 two weeks later. The balance must also be received by the applicable class payment deadline. The program is not financed using future tax-preparation earnings. Existing renewal agreements may have different payment terms.
Who pays the $75 service bureau charge?
The tax client pays $75 for each filed return, either from their refund or upfront. This charge is separate from the annual software fee.
What equipment and tools are included?
The program includes a company laptop for use while participating, tax software access, Microsoft OneDrive, Office and Outlook, plus the support and training tools described in the brochure. The laptop remains company property and must be returned when you leave.
How long is training?
Training takes approximately 40–50 hours over five weekend days: Saturday and Sunday, the following Saturday and Sunday, and the next Saturday. Attendance is required on all scheduled days.
Will you help me obtain a PTIN or NYPTIN?
We assist with the applications. Issuance and eligibility are determined by the relevant agency; training completion does not itself authorize someone to prepare or file returns.
Will I receive clients or guaranteed income?
You build your own client base. Partners can be listed under Locations on TrueTaxes.org so potential clients can find them, but clients, leads, jobs and income are not guaranteed.
Can I work remotely?
The program is designed for remote work. Work from another country requires checking applicable work rules, software restrictions and tax-data safeguards before accessing client information.
